Emirates Palace made waves in 2009

The elapsed year was eventual and thrilling for the Emirates Palace
as it signature brand went from strength to strength as one of the
world's top notch hospitality players.


The Hotel's tireless drive towards excellence and leadership has been
recognised and celebrated by regional and international travel and
tourism organisations which awarded the hotel  top accolades in the
luxury hospitality industry.


November 2009 was the best month of achievements when the hotel scooped five awards at the 16th World Travel Awards.


Commenting on the harvest of awards won last year, General Manager of
Emirates Palace Mr. Hans Olbertz, said ''These awards stand testimony to
the dedication, enthusiasm and high professionalism that our team
demonstrates towards their work and the hospitality industry as a whole.


''Our team is constantly working to meet - and exceed - expectations
of both industry benchmarks and customers - guests and clients,'' he added.


"It is a great privilege to receive these trophies which show our strong
brand values built over time. We are delighted that our
efforts in positioning the hotel as a leading brand have paid off.
Certainly these achievements give us an additional momentum to

he added.


He said that hotel had won these honours despite the challenging time
the world hospitality industry passed through last year because of the
international financial crisis . With these honours, the Emirates Palace
brand is now amongst an elite group of hotels in the world.

The hard work, faith, attitude and combined effort of the hotel team made
it all a success and the team will strive for more great achievements in the
future," he added.


Janet Abrahams, Executive Director of Sales & Marketing, said the 2009
harvest of awards was yet further significant milestones in the hotel's track
record in the luxury hospitality services,  and recognition of commitment
to quality customer care.


''These awards have further consolidated the hotel's competitive edge as
a world class venue of choice for conventions, seminars and conferences, as well
as a host of social, cultural, and musical events'' she said.

These awards recognise the hotel's tireless efforts to promote the emirate of
