The USA's best selling travel guide, Frommer's, has listed the Arabian Gulf emirate of Abu Dhabi as among its top ten destinations to visit during 2010. The listing follows recommendations from journalists and voting from Frommer's readers. Frommer's says the list of its 2010 recommended destinations represents "a mix of emerging hotspots, under-appreciated cities and placed to visit before they are over-rum by tourist crowds." |

Abu Dhabi National Hotels achieves 27.8 Percent profit growth
Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) announced yesterday that its profits for the first nine months ending 30th September 2009 reached Dh372.5 million - an increase of 27.8% over Dh291.5 million for the corresponding period in 2008. The company recorded a 6% increase in operating revenue over the corresponding period of 2008 reaching Dh1.319 billion. |

"The emirate enjoys unique luxury attractions and eclectic spread of choices that meet the demands of global travelers. Besides the sea fronts, sun, sand and luxurious choices, Abu Dhabi offers a diverse water sports, leisure, cultural and heritage environment to its visitors," Sheikh Hamdan in statements as he toured the 19th edition of the Monaco Yachts show (Monaco Yachts Show 2009) which ran from September 23rd to September 26th. |

Free Wi-Fi and Internet Access at Abu Dhabi International Airport
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) yesterday announced the complete roll out of free Wi-Fi and internet access throughout Abu Dhabi International Airport. Fifty new walk-up kiosks are now fully operational in the newly opened Terminal 3, following the success of 15 walk-up kiosks which were launched in Terminal 1 last year. |
